Scope and content

Thanks Beaton for letter. Expresses pleasure in hearing from a 'fellow sufferer in stage tantalisation'. Is glad that Beaton is in the 'Pre-Binkie' phase. Has decided to go in for homeopathy. Is finding new potatoes, raspberries and broad beans 'a great solace'. Looks forward to seeing Beaton's play. Has to write an article on 'Princess E' and is finding it 'rather a strain on one's versatility after Tolstoy'. Has been to lunch and found her charming.
