Scope and content
Beaton has been on her conscience for about a month. Excuses herself for not having written earlier. Is sorry Beaton's American visit was so tiring. Suggests Beaton pay a visit to Tangier. Tangier changes very quickly but something always remains the same. They have had rain in quantities at all manner of queer times and the farmers are clamouring for more. Ada is much the same. She is as plucky as ever but not really making progress. They are expecting her son, Philip and his wife and daughter this month. Hopes that this will do Ada good. Jessie has shipped her sisters off to Spain and England. Enquires about Beaton's play. Asks if he has written one and whether it was a success.
