Thanks Beaton for his letter. Praises his career. Is sad that it did not happen in his mother's lifetime. Beaton's father would have been inwardly proud and pleased as well. Reminisces about the Sunday lunches at Templewood Avenue. Feels that all the magazines he used to take have out priced themselves. Was exciting to see Beaton outside Buckingham Palace.
