Scope and content

Cannot tell Beaton how much they missed him this year. Describes the island where he is staying. Princess Margaret and Tony visited the island for two weeks. Tony was not very kind to Margaret. She is "so possessive of him that it amounts to disease" and he cannot stand it. The Brands, who are "ghastly", came with them. Here they have been quite quiet. Anne has developed a passion for Spetsai clothes. The French Rothschilds have bought the further end of the island. Tomorrow they leave for a week. They are going to New York on January 20th. Hopes Beaton can come then. Includes drawing of an evening dress designed for Princess Margaret.
