Thanks Beaton for his letter. Is pleased that Beaton liked the photograph she sent him. Was distressed to hear of Baba's illness. Heart went out to Beaton's sister when she heard that she had lost her husband in the Second World War. Has seen very few newspaper reports. Discusses Beaton's character.
