Excuses herself for not having written before, but the cats have been ill. Would 'adore' it if Beaton came to visit. If Beaton cannot stand the cats, then they can go and stay in the new house. Discusses the visit further. Was glad that the critics appreciated Beaton's book. Has opened envelope at the last minute to ask Beaton if he could come at the end of August rather than the beginning. Hopes Beaton will not notice too many imperfections.
