Scope and content

Thanks Beaton for the letter and the Thurber enclosure. The new pictures sound gay. Cannot think where Dick Watts got the idea of being Beaton's foe. Is fascinated about Beaton's new voice. Likes Beaton's Chevalier and Ashcroft pictures. Discusses John Gielgud's production of "Richard II" which was "cold and clammy as the estuary of the Ob", and the other theatrical events which occurred. Hopes Beaton will discuss "La Cuisine des Anges" with Sam or Bella Spewack if he meets them.
