Was grateful for Beaton's letter. It was a compliment to be praised by Beaton, who has seen so much in the R.A.F. Praises Beaton's book. Feels that his own was too 'literary'. Thinks that Beaton's book was 'the real thing' and liked the photographs. Wishes they could do a book together. Longs to see Beaton.
