Scope and content

Finds it amazing to be alone in his house for the first time since the restoration work on it was completed. Has always had guests or relatives staying before. The building across the street has become a 'fully-fledged active whore house'. The customers are all young and attractive. Perhaps he will learn Spanish this summer so he can join them. No longer has to go on a trip with Cecile de R this summer, so he will be able to see Beaton. Beaton must come to New York to see his apartment. Describes the apartment. Is having lots of fun doing it up. Has bought Beaton a 16th-century map of Wiltshire. It is pretty and colourful and shows Broadchalk, Salisbury and Stonehenge, but not Wilton. All is well with him He is still friends with John and Yoko Lennon and Garbo. The Government has not managed to take his Fire Island property from him.
