Scope and content
Is writing this in the garden at Reddish. Wanted to help Eileen cope with the Talbots. Mrs Talbot is seemingly going for a job in Fordingbridge. Thanks Beaton for the photos. Mr Treasure called on them when they came back from church and they ended up agreeing to do the flowers. Dr Burrough's giant cedar is dead. Will send Beaton some colour pictures of the garden. Describes a Chinese dinner he went to at the Brighton Pavilion to open the Sussex festival. Envies Beaton being in Hollywood and working with Audrey Hepburn. Is working on the Shakespeare exhibition. This includes doing a reconstruction of the Globe theatre. He and Eileen send their love.
