Scope and content

Thanks Beaton for the wonderful present. Has glowed with pride over Beaton's stage success. Feared that he would stay in America for life but has found out that he is returning to England. All looks well in his horoscope for the coming year. Was thrilled when Timothy Rea sent her "Glamour" for October. Beaton is the best guest in her world. Describes her recuperation after breaking a blood vessel in her eye. Discusses the outgoing mayor. Tony Herbert is taking possession of the Manor House this week. Describes how a "disgruntled and lunatic" student has been stalking some friends and it will be decided tomorrow whether he will be sent to the asylum. Is still too blind to see what she is writing, so asks Beaton to forgive illegibility.
