Scope and content

Was very pleased to be able to get one of Beaton's books of Ashcombe. Life has not been the same since those days. Her father and mother are dead. Joan trained as a nurse but is now married. They have another daughter. Her husband is still working for the same employer. She left 2 years ago due to ill health. Dorothy is living at Castle Bay. Often thinks of Beaton. Invites him to call if he is ever in Weston-Super-Mare. Hopes he is happy in his new house and it makes up for parting with Ashcombe. Hopes he will forgive the letter. Thought he might to know a little of how they are all getting on.
