Scope and content

Writes that her brother, based in Washington, believes that America will join the war in September. Admires Beaton's courage in returning to England at this time, but agrees that it is much better to keep oneself busy rather than simply sit listening to the radio. Loos believes that if the war is won, then credit will be due to the work of the R.A.C. She is working hard for the Committee to Defend America by Aiding the Allies (CDAAA). Concludes that she is longing to hear of news from Beaton and hopes that the mail lines remain open.
