Loves Beaton's drawings of the children. Praises the drawing of Caroline. Sees all the things Beaton portrayed in her and was amazed that Beaton saw them too, especially as they were bouncing up and down the whole time Beaton was there. Was struck by how much the picture of John looks like a photograph of his father at the same age. Beaton saw all the things that she sees in her children. When they are old, the drawings will tell them more than any photograph about what they were like at that age. Hopes Beaton will be coming to New York next fall.
