McKinney thought that this letter and the one to Darwin came on the same boat, but does not believe that there is any evidence for this. The evidence FH has deduced from the Asa Gray letter 'is convincing'. Asks if there has been any reaction from the Lyell family to either Blackman's book or the BBC TV film.
