Scope and content

Enjoyed watching 'According to Hoyle'. She and her friends admired FH when he resigned. Her friends were impressed by the manner in which he answered the questions. Thanks Barbara for the invitation to the reunion party, and for the 'most enjoyable time' that was had last summer. Also thanks her for the invitation to the centenary at Eldwick School. Barbara need not worry about Samantha and Jacqueline on their trip to the States. Apart from her elbow, which is more painful in cold weather, has enjoyed wonderful health. Wishes Barbara a happy birthday. Admires Barbara's 'courage and strength' during the 'trying period' of their first two years at Dockray.
