Has read, with his wife, the article about FH in the Telegraph Sunday magazine of 14 June, and found the part about FH's book Ice particularly interesting. They have 'for many years thought that the climate of this country is changing'. This is especially evident this year, when Spring and Summer have been cold and cloudy, and there have been hardly any cloudless days. Asks FH if other countries near the poles are experiencing similar weather.
