Scope and content
Refers to her previous letter regarding her proposed visit to Europe. Informs Beaton that her plans have changed because Mr George [Schlee] insisted on accompanying her. They plan to travel at the end of the week. Mentions the possibility of meeting with Beaton in Paris. Regrets that George Schlee is travelling with her as they are both too tired for the trip to Paris. She had wanted to go alone to 'forget the horrors of the summer'. Gives a forwarding address in Paris, care of Mrs Gunther. Cautions Beaton to 'write carefully' so she can show his letter to S. [George Schlee].
