Scope and content

Regrets that Glover could not have escaped Cambridge with them. Mentions the great quantity of ancient cuneiform inscriptions around him. Complains that the Germans, Belck and Lehmann ('intellectual locusts') have already done much of the academic research on the inscriptions. Contemplates applying the method of Higher Criticism used to trace pilgrim psalms in the Hebrew Psalter to their own hymn book. Mentions that they have bought a tent preferring it to Kurdish huts. Refers to plans to return to England in the near future.
