Mentions Miss Cameron of Lochiel's opinion of the latter book. Remembers leaving Glover at St John's College when he first entered as an undergraduate. Asks whether he will see his daughter, Mary off to Oxford. Mentions that Dorothy has written to tell Mrs Hobbs that Mary will be there. Reports that Mr Neville Talbot performed the last rites over Roland. Sends news that Mildred misses her children who are at school, Katie Alison recently had a baby boy, and Richard Glover's broken arm is mending. Writes that she is glad Glover met Dr Willie Johnstone, whose mother was her childhood friend.
