Congratulates Glover on his daughter, Mary's scholarship at Somerville. Describes her stay in Cambridge with K.J.B. [Katherine Jex-Blake], mistress of Girton, and her visit to Glover's wife and children. Mentions the Revd T. T. , R. D. Whitehorn's family, and Hermes who is planning to go to India to be Professor of Philosophy at a College where R. D. Pelly's brother is Vice-Principal. Reports that Miss Sedgewick councilled her against missionary work in the East, and then Miss de Selincourt offered her work standing in for Miss Almond as a classical lecturer, that she has turned down an offer from the Student Christian Movement to be Travelling Secretary and was appointed Classical Lecturer at Girton. Mentions her interview with Archdeacon Cunningham where they talked of Glover. Mentions Swanwick, and Rena Carswell, Margaret Neve, Miss A. W. Richardson and Miss McDougall.
