Informs Lee that the church, believing the Archimandrite to be an imposter, will not take up his petition. Complains that even though he has little influence or money he is prevailed upon by many requests from foreigners who believe him to be a great man. Returns petition with letter to secretary of Greek Committee, hoping they can do more. Apologises for the trouble caused to Lee and pledges any further help.
