Note
See C.J. Gray 'Letters of Bishop Fisher', The Library 3rd Series no 13 (1913) p.133ff.; where the dating is 1523 but see below: the pension of the nun also confirms an earlier date. `The letter refers to the articles on Papal Primacy and Indulgences in Fisher's Confutatio of Luther. This was published in January 1523, and Malcolm Underwood's (Archivist 1978-2012) reading of the letter is that the articles have been written, but have not yet been published. In his Convulsio Calumniarum Fisher refers ahead to his unpublished article 25 on Papal Primacy. This book, published in November 1522, was written in spring that year, so one might deduce that article 25 had been completed by that time. Underwood puts this letter in late 1521 or early 1522.' ex inf. Richard Rex of Trinity College.
