Archival history
The volume was bequeathed to the College by Dr. Williams, Rector of Barrow, Suffolk. Dr Williams wished for the volume to be given to the College President for his use or of that of the officer directly below him. However, this volume did not end up with Dr Pennington instead he was lent a volume which had at the beginning of it a plan of the College and walks. (two notes in different hands on the frontispiece explains this)
