Penrose as architect, opinions and discussion concerning the overall appearance of the building, and a brief note of the estimated cost of the building as proposed by Penrose. Also includes letters to and from Penrose, sketches of parts of the building by Penrose and letters about deputies to be appointed in Penrose's absence.

Additionally includes a report by A. F. Torry on the chapel fund from March 1882.
