Note
Pace apparently has completed his translation and it has been sent to the Pope. This letter is however written before the printing in 1522. The letter provides some evidence for a connection between Wynkyn de Worde & John Gough; the D.N.B. sub. Gough says the tradition that he was Worde's servant or apprentice is `without foundation'.
