Richard the clerk of Braye [Bray], called le carpenter, grants to Alice the wife of William le Poleter of Wenekefeld [Winkfield] and William her son, for a certain sum of money, two plots of land. One plot lies in Westle between the lands of Henry Scoth and Thomas Mein, the high road from Scotteslake towards Windsor, the messuage of the aforesaid Thomas and a road of his; the other also lies in Westle, between a croft which was Cristina le doule's and the same road of Thomas, in the parish of Winkfield. To be held at a yearly rent of six pence halfpenny at Michaelmas and the best horse as a heriot for all demands. Alice will pay the first heriot whether she dies before or after William
