Indenture whereby William le Bayl of Cokham [Cookham] grants to William de la Rokele of the same, a yearly rent of eight shillings, payable by Edith the daughter of Hugo le Taillour of Maydenhithe [Maidenhead] at Michaelmas and the Annunciation and of [?]nild the widow of Hugo six shillings and of Robert de Mykelham two shillings, for lands at Maidenhead in the parish of Cookham, to be held of the lords by service. For the first nine years, William must give the grantor a red rose on St John the Baptist's day, and after that 13 shillings and four pence yearly at the Annunciation and Michaelmas.
