Note
According to an article included in The Eagle vol. LXIII (1969), the St. John's College Film Society was founded in 1969 and began screening films in the School of Pythagoras building soon after. Among the first films selected by members were Renoir's 'La Regle du Jeu' (1939), 'Alexander Nevsky' (1938) and Kurosawa's 'Hidden Fortress' (1958).
