Note
Fellow-commoner: Originally an affluent, usually aristocratic, student granted among other privileges that of sharing with the Fellows of a college the amenities of the high table . The term has recently been re-introduced in several colleges to designate those who have been granted membership of the Senior Combination Room but do not have the duties or the full privileges of a Fellow.
