Includes documents pertaining to the development, lease and operational management of the Hoxton site, namely:

  1. A tenancy agreement made between Godfrey E. Rice (Landlord) and George U. Yule and Henry P. Griffiths (members of the Joint Committee for and on behalf of the Maurice Hostel Men's House) for the lease of 94 Westmoreland Place in the Parish of Shoreditch, dated 8th October 1921.

  2. An insurance policy certificate for the buildings and fittings of the Maurice Hostel, signed and dated 17th June 1921, and issued by the Royal Insurance Company Ltd., London.

  3. An oversized ink diagram depicting the position of the Maurice Hostel, Hoxton, and the Upper Tooting Church Institute, Wandsworth Common.

  4. Three letters, exchanged between the College Mission Committee, Henry P. Griffiths, and Young, Jones & Co., concerning the lease of 54 and 55 Herbert Street by Mr Griffiths, dated November 1924.

  5. An oversized architectural roof plan of nos. 64-66 Britannia Street and 94 Westmoreland Place [n.d.].

  6. A letter addressed to T.P. White (Treasurer of the College Mission General Committee) from Dowsett, Knight & Co. Chartered Surveyors and Architects, concerning the required provision of a roof-top fire escape for 64-66 Britannia Street and 94 Westmoreland Place, dated 5th December 1931.

  7. Two policy renewal notices issued by the Royal Insurance Company Ltd., c. June 1937.

  8. Two insurance certificates issued by Lloyd's London, dated 25th March 1938 and 24th June 1938 respectively.
