Note

  • Endorsed in an 18th century hand `Bills and Letters Dr. Taylor' showing that Taylor's papers were once bundled together. Charles Brandon died 22 Aug.1545.

Note

  • Thomas Atkinson B.A. was an original fellow of Trinity in 1546 but not a fellow of St John's. The alternative Thomas Atkinson was a fellow of St John's in 1573 but this complicates the authorship again: the signature is shaky and unclear but has been interpreted as `C suthffolk'. The hand looks earlier than 1573 and could be 1540s.
