Grant by Henri [Henry] de Lascy [Lacy], earl of Lincoln and constable of Chester, lord of Ros and Rewynnoke, and Margarete his wife to God, our Lady and the nuns of Bromhale (Broomhall), for the safety of their souls and those of their ancestors and heirs, of one hundred acres in their waste of Asserigge (Ashridge), measured by the perch of twenty feet; lying between Pyllingbere and the high-road from Brakenhale to Reding[es]; to hold in frank -almoin for ever.
Seal of the earl, slightly damaged. Tag and seal of Margaret lost.
Endorsed: Asserigge in parochia de Wokyngham [Wokingham] in Com' Wyltes. (Wokingham was formerly an enclave of Wiltshire in Berkshire, at least down to the 18th century)
