She sometimes feels that she has lived too long, but not often; although like Crook, she misses many friends that have died. She has a new car and loves driving along the quaint side roads in her area.

Note to Crook informing him that her Dad's Swedish cousin has died. She mentions that she is due to retire in August, but hopes to keep working on a contract basis. She talks of a wonderful three day trip to Victoria Falls. She trusts that he is in good health and surviving the poor weather (in England).
