Includes three autograph, manuscript letters sent from Rio de Janeiro during Beaton's visit to Brazil (February - March 1971). Letters contain details of Beaton's arrival in the city, his first impressions, his travel plans and comments on the United Kingdom postal strike of January - March 1971. Also includes a separate unaddressed note, dated 18th December 1971, written in what appears to be Beaton's hand.

Includes autograph, manuscript letters concerning Beaton's trip to Egypt in March 1972, Mallorca in August 1972 and Mexico in March 1974; the fashion writer, Diana Vreeland (1903-1989); the declining health of Beaton's sister, Baba; his work in Palm Beach, Florida, in January 1973; and media interviews and appearances in Chicago.
