The Mallarmé-Brennan collection
The collection comprises printed works by and about Mallarmé. Some of the volumes contain inscriptions by Mallarmé and Brennan. One volume contains letters to Brennan from Mallarmé, S.C. Leconte, A.W. Verrall and G.C. Toussaint. The collection also includes a volume of Mallarmé's verses written out by Brennan.

Many contain reminiscences and anecdotes of St John's and Cambridge and some enclose photographs and items of ephemera.

An artificial collection consisting of four separate deposits made by members of the Whytehead family between 1938 and 1944. The papers relate principally to William Whytehead (d. 1817), Henry Robert Whytehead (1773-1818), Thomas Whytehead (1815-43, see ODNB) and Robert Yates Whytehead (1846-1938).
