Part of Papers of Max Newman
Gives thanks for the recent parcel received containing reading matter. Describes her recent experiences with the East African Archaeological Expedition; the intolerable conditions she had been living under before being sent by Louis Leakey to a better site with more amiable company. Notes that she is to leave the Expedition shortly, and gives reasons, including the difficulties she has experienced with Leakey and the 'spiritual discomfort' she has suffered. Gives her plans of going to a missionary station in the near future and then her vague ideas about the longer term.
