Charles Stein [?]. Autograph letter to Beaton.

Feels that Beaton is angry with him. He cannot imagine what hell it has been without him all winter. He relies much more than he thinks on his advice and approval. Asks him not to just dismiss everything as "tiresome". Beaton is the only friend he has. Refuses to have an inferiority complex. Knows that intellectually he is the equal of many people who are successful. Believes in Beaton's common sense and judgement. Has never been so happy as during these last few weeks before Beaton left. Reminisces about the past. The only thing he feels happy about now is Beaton's return. Asks him to let him know several hours before he can come.

Stein, Charles [?] (fl 1930-1950)
