Gives news of College, including mention of Catton. Discusses his new employment as a tutor, also notes that he thinks he will study for the Bar and has no intention of becoming a clergyman. Notes that a number of Fellowships will be vacant at St John's. Gives a brief description of a journey he has recently made visiting the churches of Lincolnshire. Notes the marriage of Stepenson, and says that Lund, 'regardless of Stephenson's sad fate, still goes nightly to Green Street to take his cigar and grog with his future father in law.'
