Request to Crook to write a contribution to Volume XII of 'The Cambridge Ancient History'

Notes an article in the Edinburgh Journal about Hamish Henderson that Crook may appreciate. He has been comissioned to review Malaysia's medical schools. He plans to visit Cambridge, with Catriona, before returning to Glasgow to give a public lecture. He hopes that they can meet.

Mentions his enjoyment of Crook's piece on Godfrey Tanner in 'The Eagle'. He describes his visit to Scotland, where he opened the Burns series in the Burns Room of the Mitchell Library. He reviews the rest of his tour, which took in the Vatican, where he saw the Treasury for the first time.
