Copy of a letter to the master of St John's College, which intercedes on behalf of a Greek academic (Dr Michalopoulos) who was sacked from his position as director of the Museum of the City of Athens, for comments relating to the Elgin Marbles. He enquires as to whether the Fellowship of the University might demonstrate an interest in his case.

Mentions to Crook that his state pension has become 'snarled up in the works'. Consequently he will not be in the UK until 2004.

Reports that he is now in receipt of a Greek pension and a golden handshake from the Hellenic navy. He shall be visiting Cambridge in July, having submitted a housing need application to Cambridge City Council.
