Typescript letter signed from Canon Burnett Hillman Streeter, Queen's College Oxford, to Exeter College Oxford

Impressed with Bezzant's ability and development of his grasp and depth of insight into theological problems. Has gift of clear and effective writing - he contributed various articles to the Modern Churchman. B compiled indices to S's The Four Gospels - high standard of accuracy and considerable judgement in subject index. B one of most promising younger theologians in Oxford. B a man of practical good sense, capable of working harmoniously with other people, and would be an acceptable member of any Common Room. B's approach to religion is human as distinct from ecclesiastical and he thinks and speaks in the English language not in clerical jargon - this is important if he is to influence typical Oxford undergraduate.
