Watercolour on paper (24 x 17 cm). Mounted and framed (37 x 31cm). Inscribed: 'Rocca di Mal Consiglio Trapani by S. B. 1901' (bottom right). [No. 76 in Henry Festing Jones's 1921 catalogue: 'See "The Authoress of the Odyssey." The Scoglio is the ship of Ulysses which Neptune turned into a rock as she was on her way home to Scheria.']
