Typescript letter signed from Canon Burnett Hillman Streeter, Queen's College Oxford, to Exeter College Oxford

Impressed with Bezzant's ability and development of his grasp and depth of insight into theological problems. Has gift of clear and effective writing - he contributed various articles to the Modern Churchman. B compiled indices to S's The Four Gospels - high standard of accuracy and considerable judgement in subject index. B one of most promising younger theologians in Oxford. B a man of practical good sense, capable of working harmoniously with other people, and would be an acceptable member of any Common Room. B's approach to religion is human as distinct from ecclesiastical and he thinks and speaks in the English language not in clerical jargon - this is important if he is to influence typical Oxford undergraduate.

Typescript letter signed from A.E. Lynam, Headmaster Dragon School Oxford, to Bezzant

Congratulates Bezzant on his appointment at Liverpool Cathedral. L has sent letter through Blackwell to 600 members of the Preparatory Schools Association about B's Explanations: a companion to a short Bible, and has had a number of letters of thanks. L thinks it will be great boon to Preparatory School teacher. Perhaps B will consider sending his son to the school as a border - they would like to have him.

Two newspaper cuttings pasted onto a sheet of paper

The first reports the appointment of David J. Bezzant, JSB's son, as managing director of Carpet Weavers Ltd. of Lye, Stourbridge, giving brief biographical details. The second reports the death of Muriel Christine Turberville Hunt (née Farncombe), JSB's former wife, on 16 March 1966. With some MS notes by John Sandwith Boys Smith dated 27 March 1967.

'The Universe, Man and God'

Typescript of a book presumably by Bezzant. The accompanying envelope is postmarked 20 November 1952; it is not clear what connection, if any, the name 'C.F. Russell' (perhaps referring to the occultist) inscribed upon said envelope has to the main text.
