It was sweet of Beaton to write. They would have loved him more than anyone to be at the service. It was the most beautiful service she has ever been to. Sends her love to Beaton. Is still surrounded by his lovely work.

Beaton's letter gave him great pleasure. Feels he was silly to listen to Marie Louise, who first translated it into French and then read it aloud in front of other people, saying it was dangerous for him. Bought the book in London a few days ago and read it with great pleasure. Agrees with Beaton that there is nothing that could really hurt him. It is nice of Beaton to have written to him and hopes they can meet more often.

Antony Henry Head. Autograph letter signed to Beaton, from Kuala Lumpur.
Part of Papers of Sir Cecil Beaton
Went to see "My Fair Lady" in Kuala Lumpur last night. Thought the scenes were a tremendous achievement and the use of flowers was very striking. Asks if it was a reproduction of Leighton's picture of Burton on the wall of Higgins' study. Makes a criticism on the continuity in the scene when Eliza pulls a ring from the fire. In Kuala Lumpur, the locals are very civil and are beginning to lean on him a bit, which makes his job easier.

Antony Hunt. Typescript letter signed to Beaton, from London.

Thanks Beaton for the interesting afternoon he gave him and Miss Hugh Jones. Thought the sets and décor looked lovely. Was glad to learn that the dresses will be preserved afterwards. Suggests that Beaton notify the Council of Industrial Design and other such bodies who might like the opportunity to study them more closely. Would like to know if Beaton would be interested in photographing any of the items for the autumn issue of "House & Garden". Is sending a copy of the February American issue of "House and Garden".
