History
Photographic firm established originally by a partnership between Robert Hills and John Henry Saunders. Had studios in London, Oxford, Cambridge, Harrow, Eton, Rugby, Aldershot and Sandhurst. The Cambridge studio was in operation from the 1860s. The partnership was dissolved in 1889, but members of both families continued to run businesses under the name. The company continued to be listed at King's Parade in Cambridge directories up to 1919.
