History

Fearon Fallows was born in Cockermouth in 1788. Graduated BA in mathematics (Third Wrangler) at St John's College in 1813, and was later a Fellow. Director of the Astronomical Observatory planned for the Cape of Good Hope by the Commissioners of Longitude 1820. Died in South Africa in 1831.
