Will and Memorandum

A contemporary copy of the will of Lady Margaret, with certain corrections concerning the gifts to those who should attend her funeral, the dispositions of Maxey [Cambridgeshire] and Torpell [Northamptonshire], and those of the Somerset manors which she has enfeoffed with licence of Edward IV.

Remise and Quitclaim: parish of St Giles, Cambridge

Remise and quitclaim [undated] by the Master and Fellows of Christ's College, Cambridge, to Thomas Thomson, clerk, and rector of Wellwyn, Hertfordshire, of all their rights in lands etc in the parishes St Giles, Cambridge and of Coton which were formerly Richard [Foxe], Bishop of Winchester's, Thomas [Ruthall] Bishop of Durham's, John [Fisher], Bishop of Rochester's and John Cutte's ,knight, and which Thomas had of their gift. And the Master and Fellows will guarantee the lands against John [Islip], Abbot of Westminter and his successors.

College Farm report: Barway

A report sent to the President of the College on the College's farm at Barway, with recommendations as to the repairs and a statement that the last tenant had neglected to plant the 30 willow trees yearly which he ought to have by his lease. The document is signed with the marks of 4 men: William Longe, Tho[m]as Lambert, Roger Burridg and Thomas Paggett.

Comprising:
1) Indenture of bargain and sale, Christopher Stanke[s], to Nicholas Metcalfe and Ralph Baynes, land at Barway with water and fishing rights at Barway, Soham and Stretham, known as 'Beche', from bushoploode to Bradforth Were (sic) which Stanke[s] purchased from Thomas Barton, dated 4 Feb. 1525.
2) Notes of the boundaries of the land and fishing rights at Barway bought by the College from Christopher Stanke[s]
